Bankruptcy petition prep is the bane of every debtor law firm. It is exacting work requiring almost constant contact with the client, who often has difficulty turning over the documents and info we need.
Did you know that you can short circuit the aggravation when you outsource petition prep to a firm that can do it faster, more accurately, more efficiently, and with greater client satisfaction?
We use your questionnaire (or ours) or an online intake app to gather info, conduct basic due diligence, enter data in your preferred bankruptcy petition platform, work with your clients to gather documents, resolve lingering issues, and draft plans. All under the supervision of an attorney who has practiced consumer bankruptcy law for more than 30 years.
-
All bankruptcy petition work and any other documents we prepare for you ar either drafted by or supverised by a highly experienced consumer bankruptcy lawyer. Ours has 30 years experience representing debtors in Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Chapter 11.
An experienced bankruptcy attorney can often spot conflicting information, inconsistencies, and missing data. Our work product doesn’t leave our control unless an attorney has personally reviewed and approved the drafts.
We’re also different because we’re not restricted to using just one company’s platforms. We can work in all major bankruptcy petition prep platforms, including Jubilee, Bankruptcy Pro, Best Case app, Best Case cloud, and NextChapter.
Finally, we’re different because we’re a one-stop-shop for all your routine (and not so routine) bankruptcy filings, motions, and research.
-
Our pricing is simple. We charge $300 for a Chapter 7 petition and schedules; $300 for a Chapter 13 petition and schedules; $50 for a draft Chapter 13 plan. We’ll charge a surcharge of $100 if the case is to be filed within three days.
The prices quoted include preparation of any forms required by local rules.
For assistance with other routine bankruptcy filings or with research and writing projects, we charge by the hour. Contact us to discuss your needs and how we can help.

Although petition prep is BKB's bread and butter, we can also appear with the debtor at 341 meetings, and handle many other routine tasks in a typical Chapter 13 or Chapter 7 case. Imagine how having dedicated contract staff, who specialize in petition prep, can enhance your bottom line, reduce stress, and increase staff and client morale.

The pandemic lockdown taught us that it’s possible to run a practice without a traditional office. We became more open to creative staffing solutions. Outsourcing allows law firms to scale operations more flexibly. You can handle an increased volume of cases without the need to hire and train additional in-house staff. And, when filings are off, you don’t have to choose between paying unproductive staff or furloughing them.

Absolutely. We operate nationwide. That means we can prepare schedules for every division of all 94 federal districts.
-
We are not “bankruptcy petition preparers” as contemplated by 11 U.S.C. Sec. 110 because we don’t accept assignments or payment from non-attorneys. All the work our expert bankruptcy paralegals do is approved before it’s released.
-
Yes. You can expect us to treat all the data we handle in the strictest confidence, just like you do, and no different from your staff.
